We have a growing suite of storyboards, templates, guidance and resources to support staff in their communications. Most of this content is hosted on the intranet, so you will only be able to see linked content if you are connected to the GNS VPN.

GNS brand guidelines

Our brand is our most important asset. We have created guidelines to help us in all our applications of the GNS brand.

We are working with IT to make our branding products and templates readily available and easy for you to use. We will soon be developing a staff user guide to help you navigate where to find products and templates on our GNS systems, and how to use them most effectively. Check back on this page for that soon.

Powerpoint templates

These templates have been provided to help you design quality presentations and powerful reporting. They are available in I:\Template\Powerpoint as POTX in template format.

When you use the templates, make sure you check out the best practice tips that we have included in the notes sections.

Storyboards

We have developed storyboards that describe our core business and key projects in a simple, compelling narrative form. These are intended as quick guides to support staff telling our GNS story with confidence.

Access the storyboards

We will continue to develop these as we work on more of our science projects, products and services. We will also use the storyboard format to provide a corporate view on some of our most significant challenges – like how we mitigate risk and grow resilience, how cutting edge technologies and innovation can help future-proof societies, and how we can address human-induced climate change.

Feel free to let us know if they hit the mark for you, if you find them useful, and if there are key gaps you’d like us to prioritise as we continue to develop storyboards.

Policies

Our media and social media policies clarify our obligations and the organisation’s expectations of us when we engage on public platforms. Other policies relevant to communications include the official information act and delegated authority policies.
